About RamblerFest
RamblerFest was born out of a love for bluegrass — and a determination to keep its heart beating strong in West Georgia.
When two of the region’s long-standing bluegrass festivals announced they were canceling their events, the members of The Dixie Ramblers saw both a loss and an opportunity. Rather than let the music fade, they decided to create something new: a festival built by musicians, for the community, and for the future of bluegrass.
At the center of that vision stands The Outpost in Waco, Georgia. Once a thriving bluegrass venue, The Outpost had gone quiet in recent years. RamblerFest was dreamed up as a way to bring it back to life — and keep its legacy alive for generations to come.
RamblerFest 2025 will took place on Labor Day weekend, with a full day of stage shows on Saturday. Friday night was be all about jamming, food, and fellowship, while Saturday belongs to the stage: ten solid hours of high-energy bluegrass inside the historic Outpost.
Most importantly, every dollar from this first RamblerFest went straight back into restoring The Outpost. This wasn’t just a festival — it’s a mission to preserve a place that has meant so much to bluegrass fans and pickers across the Southeast.
RamblerFest has quickly become one of the best bluegrass festivals in the Southeast and a Labor Day Weekend staple in the region.
